About

Lightsmith is an independent architectural lighting design studio based in
Vaucluse, Sydney.

Our passion exists where light meets architecture and our purpose is to create
tailored lighting schemes to create an emotional connection between people and
space.

We specialise in lighting design for residential and hospitality projects. We develop
tailored lighting plans designed to both enhance the how the space is perceived
and provide the functionality required. Our unique blend of design and electrical
knowledge is key to deliver creative and also well-executed solutions.

We love a challenge and do our best work when we are required to think outside
the box. Ambitious ideas require skills and hard work, and we are constantly
pushing the boundaries to achieve excellent outcomes.

We collaborate with architects, interior designers, builders, and private clients
all the way from conceptualization and ideation through to installation and final
handover.

When we are not on site, you’ll find us in our studio in Vaucluse, a experiential
space open to all our clients and collaborators. If you would like to experiment
with different lighting techniques and the technology behind it, you can book
